Financial Algebra Unit 6: Employment Issues in the 2016 Presidential Election: Home

Project Overview

Over the next few days, we will be researching the issues with employment that the candidates for the 2016 presidential election are facing.

These issues include (but are not limited to):

  • Minimum Wage
  • Healthcare
  • Maternity Leave
  • Social Security
  • Unemployment benefits
  • Income Tax
  • Gender income inequality
  • Racial income inequality
  • Unemployment Rates

For this assignment, you will be responsible for researching the issue of your choosing as well as two presidential candidates’ stances on the issue. Ultimately, you want to make a case for what you believe in, with at least one mathematical argument. This can be in the form of a graph, statistics, or any mathematical fact that backs up your belief. When doing this research, be sure to look for valid sources and cite them appropriately in MLA format!
