Labor Abuse

Project Description

In the 19th century, changing socio-economic realities and lack of political representation for working classes brought about public outcry, labor unions, and legal reform. Today, workers around the world still experience large-scale abuses, yet public outcry and reform has been minimal and unevenly enforced. Why do you think that is?

Use your articles, eyewitness accounts, interviews and knowledge about specific companies to explain the difference between public reaction to labor abuses in the 19th century, and labor abuses today.
